CPM Firewall

What is the proper method to remove the CPM firewall? I created a new policy and unselected “enable firewall” - but that did not do the trick. Disabling the Officescan firewall service only works for a short time and then CPM starts the service again and places into “manual”. Looking for how to remove or disable the firewall without removing CPM all together. Thanks.
