There are 2 configuration steps which are necessary to ensure that automatic updates continue to work after you upgrade to the 8.0 platform. Please make sure that you complete these steps once you have finished upgrading your BigFix server.

After upgrading your BigFix server to 8.0, take the following steps:

Run Task 55: Core Protection Module - Upgrade Server Components on your server.

Re-run the CPM Automatic Update Setup script (http://software.bigfix.com/download/bes/cpm/CPMAutoUpdateSetup2_1.0.3.0.exe)
Run Task 55: Core Protection Module - Upgrade Server Components This task will update the PropagateFiles.exe and TrendMirrorScript.exe utilities for 8.0 compatibility. After running the task, PropagateFiles.exe will be placed the %ProgramFiles\BigFix Enterprise\BES Server directory. This is a change from 7.2 deployments, where PropagateFiles.exe resides in the %ProgramFiles%\BigFix Enterprise\TrendMirrorScript directory.
Re-run the CPM Automatic Update Setup script After running Task 55, you must re-run the CPM Automatic Update Setup script to reconfigure PropagateFiles.exe and ensure that the custom site and publisher authorization files are accessible to the PropagateFiles.exe utility.
