This release can’t be fixed by HCL.
When Google released Chrome 115.0.5790.102 they also removed the .99 version.

I agree its an older version. But, the source severity is ‘High’ and it has not been marked as (Superseded) yet. The newer version 115.0.5790.102 has a source severity as ‘Unspecified’. Ideally, for our deployments we take a note of all these aspects. We do not deploy any Chrome versions with source severity as “Unspecified”. So, the version 115.0.5790.99 still stands valid as its not superseded yet. Not sure, why it cannot be fixed in that case.

Because Google use the same name for every version of their updates - therefore, when they release a new version the download you want is gone. The size and hash values change, therefore the download fails.

If you already have the download cached, all continues to work. If you don’t have the download, there is nothing HCL can do.

The Google Chrome updates are all cumulative, so the update to .102 contains .99, and the incremental ‘Unspecified’ doesn’t downgrade the prior higher ratings.
