Getting a fail on the whitelist for these… the url in the fixlets are http not https…

our whilelist specifies https://ftp.mozilla.org/.*
While we can add http for mozilla, this is a change from previous fixlets.

Any update on the change from http to https?

You can add http to the Whitelist.txt file… It will still be “secure” as the sha1 and sha256 are in use.

The dutch version of firefox isnt in the fixlet but there is an download available. Can that be added and also for the coming updates? @jeremylam
there is also an https link availble so i’m curious why the switch from https to http

The url’s in the original 72.0.1 fixlets didn’t work for me at all, going to them directly gives me a 404:

original non-working example link:

http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/72.0.1/win64/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%2072.0.1.exe

So I copied the fixlet, and then edited the copied versions added, the “s” to http and changed the last part of each of the urls for both of the actions for both of the fixlets:

example working link:

https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/72.0.1/win64/en-US/Firefox%20Setup%2072.0.1.exe

after posting the links, it’s harder to tell the difference without hovering on the link:

changing
Firefox%2520Setup%252072.0.1.exe
to
Firefox%20Setup%2072.0.1.exe

was the main key

honestly, it’s probably easier to just download the two firefox files and (32 and 64 bit versions) rename them to their sha1 values and place them in your
\program files\BigFix Enterprise\BES Server\wwwrootbes\bfmirror\downloads\sha1
folder
