Content error in Console

(imported topic written by MBARTOSH)

I keep getting these errors in the Bigfix console:

File error “class DirectoryCreateFailed” on “C:\Users\mbartosh\AppData\Local\BigFix\Enterprise Console\PLKFBFX01v.corporate.apria.com\mbartosh\Sites\tem3DD.tmp”: Windows Error 00000005: Access is denied.

The .tmp file changes but the rest stays the same.

The Bigfix version is 8.201409.0

This may be an issue with real-time AV scanning these file directories as the console is trying to access them. Try adding an exclusion for the C:\Users\mbartosh\AppData\Local\BigFix\Enterprise Console directory or disabling you real-time AV to test.

You may also want to close your console, delete the console cache (
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21505993
), and re-open the console.

Another error in Console

Each time user tries to open BigFix Management domain it gets following error

File error “class DirectoryNotFoundError” on “C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\BigFix\Enterprise Console\WIN-4PF5KEQ9UM7\ibm\Sites\BES Support\deployment-overview.ojo”: Windows Error 00000003: The system cannot find the path specified

Then you can ignore the error or close the console. This is if you are running console from win 2008 R2. If you are running console from Win8, then Console automatically crashes.

Meanwhile this error does not occur if you start your console from Win7.

Bye

Likewise, follow the steps to close your console, delete the console cache (
http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21505993
), and re-open the console to see if this solves the problem.

thanks for the advise, but this does not solve issue on win8.

This happens in console where it uses flash plyr for ie.

Seems Console does not know how to handle with FPforIE in win8
