Computers Reporting Not Relevant After Action is Taken

(imported topic written by pmorris291)

We have an issue with a fixlet (MS08-069: Vulnerabilities in Microsoft XML Core Services Could Allow Remote Code Execution - XML Core Services 4.0 - Windows Server 2003/Server 2008/Server 2008 R2) where the computers are reporting relevant but when you take action on them the action reports back Not Relevant. We have used QNA and the relevance statement evaluates to false but they still report back relevant in the console. The patch was applied during the server build process using Windows Update. Any ideas?

Might need to send a refresh to the agent and/or clear your cache… sounds like something got corrupted…

I’m having this issue with a lot of clients… They fixlet is showing as them needing it and when I run it it reports back as not relevant… When you say to send a refresh, do you mean just right click in the console and select send refresh? I have many clients doing this so I would have to just do that to all of them?

Yea… you right click on them all and send-refresh… but if you clear the console cache, this might go away…
