Computer Remover for Linux

(imported topic written by MattPeterson)

Does anyone know if there is a computer remover tool available for Linux? How do others with Linux server deployments handle duplicate computers?

not only that, there are no tasks in the TEM console to uninstall the BESClient from a non-windows OS (which there really needs to be).

I’ve checked in with a couple of folks about this and filed an enhancement request for the BESClient uninstalls for non-Windows OSes (besides Mac).

thanks. Until then, can you provide the uninstall commands for the the major non-windows OS so customers can create their own uninstall fixlets?

Look here -

In a Linux environment, for TEM v8.0+, you should be able to just use ‘rpm -e BESAgent’.

Hi Matt,

You can download the tool for Linux servers from this page:
https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/wikis/home?lang=en#!/wiki/Tivoli%20Endpoint%20Manager/page/TEM%20Computer%20Remover?section=linux

Hope this helps.
