Computer Browser application error contacting server. Status code: 405

Hi all, I’m totally new to this community.
I’m using BigFix since a couple of years and I recently discovered the Computer Browser application… and decided to test it.
I copied all files as indicated and the I can see the home screen, but I can’t log in since I get the following error: "Error contacting server. Status code: 405"
Welll… some details…
I first tried to use the page “https://my-server/computerbrowser/computerbrowser.html” (since my WebReports can be reached at both “https://my-server/” or “https://my-server/webreports”) without success… I’m still getting this error: "404 – Not Found"
Then I tried with “https://my-server:52311/computerbrowser/computerbrowser.html” and this page definitely loads successfully, but I have to log in… and I can’t cause I get the error above.

Please note that on my console I can log in using both “my-server” or “my-server:52311”, while I can reach the WebReports only at “https://my-server/” and not at “https://my-server:52311” (I get the same error: “404 – Not Found”)

I hope this info are enough to have some help from you

Thanks a lot in advance for any assistance
frank

Hi Frank, welcome to the community!

Can you include a link to where you downloaded the computer browser from?

Also, exactly which directory did you copy the files to? It sounds like you may have copied them to the root server directory instead of the Web Reports directory.

Hi Mike, I found the “Computer Browser” application here “Report Available: Computer Browser” and here “https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/wikis/home?lang=en#!/wiki/Tivoli+Endpoint+Manager/page/Computer+Browser”.

I followed the “Installation Notes” section and copied the files in \BES Server\wwwroot\computerbrowser.

You’re right!!! I didn’t pay attention and I copied the files to the wrong directory!! :frowning:
I should have to copy to \BESReportsServer\wwwroot\computerbrowser

Thank you very much!

Woohoo glad to hear it! Psychic debugging to the rescue once again!
