Most of my servers are clustered. Is there any relevance (a http site reference is helpful too if you know of one) which will patch the inactive node, reboot if necessary, fail the node over, patch the other node, reboot if necessary, and then put the resources back to the original node?
I’ve wondered the same thing and considered trying to use WMI to try and determine the active node. I’ve not had much luck though. Another thing that makes this difficult for us is that I know we have clusters (mostly for SQL) that have active resources on all the nodes. For those clusters there is no ‘inactive’ node…
