Hi, I have installed bigfix server 9.5.1 in Microsoft Azure. I have installed agents on my corporate network computers. Client computers are responding for every 10-15 minutes interval but when I try to deploy any fixlet the clients will be in “not reported” state and when i will restart the client the action will apply. Please let me know how to resolve this.
Best Regards,
Vishnu

It’s likely notification traffic from the core/relays is not being received by the clients. When they restart, they check for new data automatically.

Hi,
Please let me know how to resolve this.
Please reference the BigFix Network Traffic Guide available here: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/community/wikis/home?lang=en#!/wiki/Tivoli%20Endpoint%20Manager/page/Network%20Traffic%20Guide
I would recommend installing a bigfix relay on your corporate network and having the clients report to the relay.
The issue you are current seeing is because, “UDP Pings” are not reaching your clients from your Azure BigFix environment so the clients are relying on “Command Polling” or you restarting the service to see new content.

This would imply that the clients are receiving new content – have you looked at the relay logs on the installed relays?
Does the bigfix client on the BigFix server respond to actions quickly (<1 minute)? Do any of the relays respond quickly?

Hi, Client on the server machine will respond quickly(around 2 min). I have one relay in my deployment and remaining are client machines and they were not responding during fixlet deployment including relay.
Please find relay log below

One thing is if you have a 9.5 server you shouldn’t have an 8.2 relay so that’s not helping things.
Minimum supported components are 9.1+ for a 9.5+ server
