Clearing the contents of the __Downloads folder

Hi all,

Perhaps this might be too simple a question to ask but I would like to know if after I extract a BigFix package in the __Downloads directory, when will the contents in that directory get removed? Does it get removed automatically or do I have to remove it manually? What happen if there are other files in that directory at that moment, do they get deleted as well? Thanks.

Hello,

The download folder is cleared automatically when a new action runs or when the agent is restarted.

thanks. Are there any command line version of the GUI for zipping up a folder of files so that the archive can later be unziped using the extract command? the reason i am asking this is because i am thinking of automating the entire software distribution process.
