Cleaning out Unknown Sites

We have apparently not been following some standard processes to remove devices from an action site before deleting the site. Now I’m cleaning up the mess. I see too many 17NotASignedMessage messages in our relays and I need to start the cleanup process on the end points.

What is the best way to clean up the sites on an endpoint that no longer exists?

Hi @masonje,

Please check the below technote if it applies to your case:

Clear out obsolete and problematic site references

Hope this helps!

I have that one content written to clear out the Relay. Is there any difference with non-relay endpoints?

You will only need to perform the procedure on the relays. Once the references to the old sites are removed from the relays, then the clients should be good.

I’m not finding that to be the case… totally. I ended up doing some digging on a client and found the masthead was messed up and not really updating properly. Just keeps requesting sites it had at one point, but not really updating altogether. Do I guess the moral of the story is, keep your endpoint agents running good and you won’t have relay issues!

Thanks for your assistance.
