Hi all, i am new to using this system.
is there anyway to check for if a user have their device installed the required application and if it is in latest versions, and if it is not how can I automate the process of downloading and updating them accordingly? Any tips or examples would be greatly appreciated.

That is an absolutely huge topic. Itâs one of the main points of what our product does.

If youâre new, Iâd highly recommend starting out with BigFix Training. Start with a BigFix 101; the Locations are references for timezones only, these are remote; but are live, and instructor-led for the most part. You may have to register several weeks out or contact your TA directly, as these FREE classes tend to fill up quickly. At worst case I think your TA can get you the materials for self-paced if you canât get into a live session (but I highly recommend a live session so you can get questions answered).
That landing page also has links to the product guides & documentation that should be helpful to get started.
The basics are that we cover a wide range of products in our âPatches for Windowsâ, âUpdates for Windows Applicationsâ, and âUpdates for Windows Applications Extendedâ sites. For those products we cover you can create Baselines and Actions in the Console/WebUI, or Patch Policies in the WebUI to automatically create Actions to update them. For products we donât cover, use the âManage Software Distributionâ Dashboard in the âSoftware Distributionâ site to package and deploy your custom or third-party applications.
