Cannot Edit Relevance with Manage Software Distribution Dashboard

(imported topic written by MBARTOSH)

Once I have created a package with the Manage Software Distribution Dashboard, it appears that I cannot use the MSD dashboard to edit the relevance. Is this correct? If so, how do I edit the relevance.

Hey Mbartosh,

Are you referring to the fact you dont see the “Create Task” popup after you hit “Save Task” when editing the task? This is a known bug (due to a limitation in the wizards API), however you can always edit the task after running the wizard, by click on the task’s link (in the Manage Tasks tab of the wizard), and hitting Edit in the task details screen that comes up. This will give you the same dialog that you usually see when creating a new task through the wizard

Zak,

I know I can edit an existing task using the MSDD, but I am not able to edit the relevance. However, now that I think about it I am not able to modify the relevance outside the MSDD. I need to get that problem resolved before focusing on the MSDD.

Perhaps I am misunderstanding the problem. You should be able to fully edit the fixlet from outside the dashboard. Where are you going to edit, and what do you see that is blocking you? Are you a master operator, or a non-master with custom content privileges?

Zak,

Sorry for the delayed response. My original question was: can edit edit the relevance of a task in MSDD? It appears that the answer is no. After I create a task with relevance, and then go back and edit the task latter, it does not pull in the existing relevance into the relevance editor.
