Bigfix server is already hosting APIs on 52311 port. Can we deploy Server Automation APIs on same port on bigfix server ?
Hi @Sidd,
No, since that port is already in use, it’s not possible to start the SA REST API on the same port.
The SSH port when the default in the fixlet is used I believe is 9081.

Thats correct … It allows to deploy on 52311 port but APIs are not up. I deployed them on 9081 it started working.
I am not sure why IBM does not exposed server automation APIs on default REST APIs running on 52311
So the problem there @Sidd is that the platform REST APIs (that work with things like sites, fixlets, computers, actions, etc.) run as part of the root server. The Server Automation REST API on the other hand runs on it’s own separate WebSphere Liberty deployment. So while SA is a BigFix application, it’s not integrated as tightly as that into the root server deployment (most other apps would be similar).
