BIOS Changes

(imported topic written by jr6591)

I think this cannot be done but I was wondering if maybe it can. I’d like to detect which PC’s have HyperThreading turned on in the BIOS and disable it through BigFix?

Its a long shot but i thought I’d ask.

Thanks … PS — this forum is awesome!

Bios Settings can “only” be done by utilities from the manufacturer.

ON HP Servers for example you can use the Scripting Tools.

Though the BIOS settings require manufacturer tools, you can get the Hyperthreading information using bigfix

Thanks. Would you or anyone know how? We have Lenovo PC’s and notebooks

for that you will need a tool from the manufacturer.
