Hello,
I’m currently running BigFix version 9.5.14.73. Can I upgrade to BigFix 10 from this version, or should I upgrade to the latest level of 9.5 and then to 10?
Thanks,
Chris
Hello,

Yes, you can in fact upgrade 9.5.14 to v10. Please see https://help.hcltechsw.com/bigfix/10.0/platform/Platform/Installation/c_upgrade_paths.html for reference.
Since the chart didn’t show 10.0.2, can I still upgrade directly from 9.5.14?
The reason I ask is because the upgrade version 10.0.2 isn’t showing up in my console relevant to deploy, only the 10.0.2 “Updated Windows Installation Folders” is showing up. And the 10.0.2 client deploy tool, which I don’t use.
I did the 10.0.2 upgrade precheck and it passed. But, the install/update isn’t available for me to deploy from the console.
Thanks,
Chris
That may be possibly due to relevance clause #15 of fixlet 4847 being evaluated as false:
not pending restart
That clause will prevent the fixlet from becoming relevant on systems where a OS pending-reboot status is detected.
Ah, ok… The server is being flagged in BigFix as pending restart. I will schedule a reboot after hours to see if this resolves the issue. Thank you!
