BigFix is pleased to announce the general availability of BigFix Trend Micro Core Protection Module (CPM) version 1.5!
Changes in CPM 1.5 include:
-+Automatic Pattern File Updates+ - Automatic pattern file updates allow an operator to optionally set up BigFix deployment to automatically take downloaded pattern files and distribute them to clients without BigFix console operator action.
-+Update from Cloud Option for Clients+ – The update from the cloud option allows an operator to set BigFix clients to get pattern updates direct from the Trend Micro Smart Protection Network in the cloud; this can be set as a location-aware policy such that endpoints automatically get updates from the cloud when roaming and use the BigFix infrastructure when on the corporate network.
-+Client UI Dashboard+ – The Client UI dashboard allows an operator to optionally display a client-side dashboard containing basic computer information, CPM info and statistics, as well as recently detected viruses and spyware infections. In addition there is a technician dashboard that will display additional computer information and all relevant Fixlet messages for that computer.
-+Client UI Offers with Reapplicability+ – Reapplicable Offers allow an operator to optionally set up the client UI to allow for an end-user to repeatably retake an authorized action, such as a “Scan Now” or an “Update from cloud” task.
-+Pattern Set Rollback+ - Pattern set rollback allows an operator to rollback recently deployed pattern sets if an issue/conflict is found with the patterns.
-+Spyware/Grayware Restore+ – Spyware and Grayware restore allows an operator to restore objects in quarantines as potential spyware/grayware (e.g. VNC).
-+Web Reputation in CPM+ – Web Reputation services (formerly available as the Web Protection Module -WPM) are now included in the Core Protection Module engine.
