the action’s status is logged, and in most cases (should be almost all) the action won’t be relevant anymore if it was successful. 8.0’s web reports make it easier to see status of action logs en masse.
Theoretically you could also parse the event log, see http://forum.bigfix.com/viewtopic.php?pid=2700 for more.
