so my big fix VM crashed and unrecoverable, my question is where would i find the license again and installation files
also can i recover the masterhead file so once installed computers/servers can start reporting automatically
Regarding recovery of a given BigFix instance, the main question is do you have a backup of your site level credentials (license.crt/license.pvk), and ideally also a backup of the database? If you have the license.crt/pvk, then you can use them to re-generate the masthead for your instance, and re-install the BigFix Server (if you have a backup of the database, be sure to restore that first!). If you do not have a copy of your site level credentials (at the very least the license.pvk and the password to unlock it), then you’ll essentially have to re-deploy a new Server instance with a new masthead.
