I’m evaluating the SaaS version of BigFix to determine whether it offers the same capabilities as the on-premises version. I signed up for the trial, and the first thing I noticed when trying to download a client is that there doesn’t appear to be an option for Windows Server clients. Is that actually the case? Since it was only released in the last quarter of 2025, I’m wondering if the platform is still maturing and doesn’t yet have full feature parity.
Hello! Windows Server Clients/Agents are certainly supported, yes. It looks like we need to make it more clear in the UI, but essentially, there are 3 Windows Agent installation packages available in SaaS (based either on the CPU architecture, or the age of the OS):
- Windows 10+ / Windows Server 2016+ for i386-based CPU architectures
- Windows on arm64-based CPU architectures (currently some editions of Win11)
- Windows Server 2012 specifically for ESU
