I am looking to create a Web Report to help collect “evidence” of the patches installed on systems for change control. The report I am looking for would be a grid report. It would list computer names down the left side. Across the top would be a listing of specific Fixlets/Tasks that the user selected to report on. The body of the grid/report would include either “Relevant”, “Not Relevant” or “Date/Time Remediated”.
This would be an extremely useful report for my company. Would this be useful to anyone else? Is this report something I can create?
While both are nice reports, neither are what I am looking for. We specifically need to know which server received which patch and when. Both of the reports that you gave links to only give total numbers. The grid that I described would give me the names of the servers as well as the fixlets with the info (Relevant, Not Relevant, Time/Date Remediated) in the body of the report. I know all of the information exists, it is just getting it into this format.
Unfortunately, no report like this currently exists, and it is not a trivial process to create one. This might better processed as a professional services project, or if you want learn the ways of session relevance and make it yourself, i could give you some help with the relevance.
