BigFix Remote Control TRCController.trcjws Download

Hello

On a Windows 2019 server I have installed Remote control Server version 10.1.0.0128. Chrome is also install on the box as well as the controller. The Controller was installed using the fixlet and installed to c:\program files (x86)\BigFix\Remote Control\Controller.

The Remote control server application is installed on the server’s D drive. When I select a target and try and start a active remote control session, a TRCController.trcjws file wants to download. Not sure where I need to save this file to. It is my understanding that this is used by the controller software. I look at fixlet ID 406 and it is not relevant. Do I need to manually install the controller on the D drive> Where do I need to save the file so the controller can use it?

The .trcjws extension is just a set of instructions that are used by the controller to start a session with the selected target.
By only opening it from the browser or downloading it and opening it, you will start the session with the selected target. Therefore, it will open the controller and initiate an active remote control session.
