MacOS Tahoe went GA on Sept 15, 2025. We have created a BigFix Idea to ensure the components are checked and updated to support macOS Tahoe. If this would help you, the link to up-vote the idea follows: https://bigfix-ideas.hcltechsw.com/ideas/BFLCM-I-333

Due to changes in macOS Tahoe, the current Remote Control Target is incompatible. The necessary fix and official support will be included in the next RC release, v 10.1.0.4, which is currently planned for the end of the year.

@rrossi, Apple first started the developer preview builds for macOS26 on June 9, 2025 followed by the more open public beta phase in July 2025. Many based on those announcements expected a release of the OS in either September or October since their historical pattern is a 3-ish month cycle. Apple is admittedly not the most enterprise friendly OS out there however they do have a reasonably accessible beta program. Internally we ensure our in-house developed apps function or if they may have a compatibility issue during the public betas engaging Apple as needed.

In that ecosystem, there are needs for zero day support - especially in developer circles where xcode is at play or if you have to acquire new hardware. A few of the BFRC competitors that are commercially available posted a couple days before the OS went GA that they had pre-qualified their product with the new OS. Conversely the target for BFRC seems to be month(s) after Apple’s GA release which puts customers in a bad position knowing we cannot support devices we immediately have in our fleet with ever increasing count.

My direct question for planning within an enterprise environment: should we expect zero-day OS release support with BFRC &/or other BES components via pre-qualification statements in the future or will guidance only follow after a GA release has occurred?
