BigFix Remote Control Database table not creating TRC

Hi BigFixers, Can anyone help please.

I’m installing BigFix Remote Control and after completion of installation, TRCDB tables are not getting created.

When I checked TRC.log then found [Default Executor-thread-19] [INFO ] - Database connection error. I do have sysadmin ID but still. Thanks in advance.

Is the SQL Server local or remote to the TRC server? If remote, can the TRC server reach the SQL Server? Can you create empty database TRCDB (manually) and then try the installation again?

SQL Server locally installed and I’ve also manually created TRCDB but tables are not getting created.

Try logging into the TRC Portal as described here:
https://help.hcltechsw.com/bigfix/10.0/lifecycle/Lifecycle/Remote_Control/RC_Install_Guide/rcinst_verify_install.html

If this works then check the database to see if the tables get added.

Tried below things but still getting same issue,

  1. Verifying the server installation
  2. Database connection authorization failure
  3. Not able to run BigFix Remote Control after installation

What error is reporting the trc.log ?
If you try to use the same credentials with SQL Server Management Studio are you able to login ?
Have you provided a Java 8 compatible version JDBC driver to the installer ?
