BigFix relay on 2012R2 server or virtual server

Has anyone setup a relay on a 2012R2 server or VM. I would like to see if this is possible. I have read that a relay requirements are that it be on a 2008R2 server but I have not see anything about 2012r2 or 2012R2 VM

Win2012 R2 should be supported for a Relay as of 9.0.777.0

I have Windows 2012 R2 servers, both physical and virtual, acting as BES Relays and OS Deployment servers.

You do need the full GUI installation, the “Server Core” or “Minimal Server Interface” options both lack Internet Explorer, which seems to be a requirement for the Relay service. https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh831786(v=ws.11).aspx

We have multiple 2012R2 VM’s running as relays. No problems (but full GUI’s).
