BigFix OSD Hostname Rule

Hi guys,

I had difficulty to replace the hostname from exisiting which randomly generated from system. Eventhough I had set hostname rule to [UUID], example i want to amend to “2001-W001L” this hostname. But, after cloned out, the hostname is not change to the one i amend before OSD cloning start.

Seeking for you guys expertise for this issue.

Hi,
so you set the hostname rule in the bare metal profile to use the computer [UUID]. Which is the final hostname you have? Where the hostname “2001-W001L” is provided in the bare metal profile?
