BigFix NAC / Cisco NAC Appliance 33xx

(imported topic written by SystemAdmin)

So we are attempting to test a BigFix / Cisco NAC solution. Most of the BigFix website points to using the Cisco CTA agent. THe CTA agent is a few years old and doesn’t appear to support most of the newer OSes.

Is there any detailed documentation on how to link BigFix / Cisco into a complete NAC solution? We’d like to set policies in BigFix and use Cisco be the gatekeeper. But there is the issue of systems without the BigFix agent.

Has anyone successfully implement a BigFix / Cisco NAC solutiona and if so, could you shed some light on how you did it and the strengths / weaknesses?

BUMP

Looks like the BigFix Client Compliance module still only supports XP. The built in Wizard does not even have Trend or BigFix CPM as a check option. Are there any plans to add Windows 7 to the mix?

Hey John,

Due to the complexities of the Cisco NAC stuff, you probably want to consider getting some help from BigFix services. I would suggest you contact them to discuss these pieces more:
