Running BigFix Inventory version 10.0.13 on Windows , BigFix version 11. We are using the BFI api to pulling 11 pieces of information using the documentation on this link https://help.hcltechsw.com/bigfix/10.0/inventory/Inventory/integration/r_get_software_instances_v2.html
This is successful, but when the api is being run we see the CPU on the BFI server go to 45% and RAM go up to 4.5 GB from around 800 MB. Once the query has completed we see the CPU drop to zero but the javaw.exe process still is using 4.5 GB of RAM. For what ever reason the javaw.exe never releases the RAM when done. The java heap size is configured to 6144. Is there a additional setting we should be configuring? Over time we run into resource issues on the BFI box.
