We are trying to use the content that HCL has released to run software scans and identify devices running an Oracle Java instance. I have already setup a couple of reports for Windows devices that are reporting matches from the signatures that are part of the public software catalog. However, I don’t see any Mac device reporting matches for Oracle Java and I have already validate there are Mac devices with the software on them.
This is not allowing us to use a unique methodology to track the usage of this software.
Are installations of Java supposed to be reported by these signatures?
