Bigfix Inventory Performance Issue

I am running Bigfix Inventory 9.2.6 and it is performing horribly. I noticed that javaw.exe is using about 8 GB of memory. It takes minutes to open the All IBM Metrics screen.

We are also running Web Report on the same server, but not Bigfix. Web Reports performs perfectly fine.

Take a look at the BigFix Inventory documentation on tuning here:
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSKLLW_9.5.0/com.ibm.bigfix.inventory.doc/Inventory/tuning/tuning_main.html

Consider increasing the Java heap size if you can:
https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSKLLW_9.5.0/com.ibm.bigfix.inventory.doc/Inventory/tuning/t_java_heap.html

Thanks for the reply. I realize now that I should have included more information.

We are using an SQL database which is on a separate server from our Bigfix Inventory server. The BFI server has 12 GB or memory and 8 processors. Web Reports which is on the same server consistently uses 3 GB of memory and BFI uses over 8 GB. I am going to increase the memory to 16 GB, but it seems odd that BFI would use so much memory and not give it up. All of the BFI memory is used by the one process javaw.exe.

There is few more things that should be checked. Although, increasing Java heap size may help.
Compare actual and claimed memory requirements for each BigFix component installed on the workstation (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSQL82_9.5.0/com.ibm.bigfix.doc/Platform/Installation/c_tivoli_endpoint_manager_operat.html). Restart BFI and check if it runs better after. You may also monitor memory consumption after restart to determine if it increase steadily, or if there are some peaks in memory consumption caused by e.g. import
