BigFix Inventory has False Positive

Hello All,
I am new to BigFix Inventory.
Tried pulling report for java installed version check and got few thousands of machines showing installed path for xxx version.
I tried to login few machines to check whether xxx version is available on the machine and also for installed path.
I couldn’t find xxx version installed and also folder path not available. Checked hidden files as well.
What would be reason here for getting false positive on installed path.
Please help me to understand.

Check history on the Scan task to see whether a recent scan has run on the machines.
Check the “Upload Scan Results” history to see whether the recent scan was uploaded.
Check the Inventory server, under Data -> Imports, to see whether a recent Import has run.

Is there any way to find when was the last Initiate Software Scan has been executed?

Check if “Software Scan Status” Analysis is activated and the results tab for the details
