Important hotfix for BigFix Inventory to address [KB0104295], which may lead to decreased number of discovered software installed on Windows endpoints.

To address the issue the previous version of “Installed Windows Applications” analysis is restored and is applied automatically on BigFix servers with network connectivity to the Internet.

If the issue has not been observed, no further action is required.

If the issue has been observed

  • Make sure that your BigFix server is connected to the Internet or use the Air Gap tool
  • Make sure that the site version of the fixlet site is at least on version 161
  • Wait approximately 24 hours to propagate the analysis to BigFix endpoints and run Data Import on BigFix Inventory server.
