Important Note: When MSSQL server is configured to encrypt connection and encryption is forced via ‘Force Encryption = Yes’ setting but BigFix Inventory is not configured for encrypted database connection, the connection to database fails. To overcome issue please follow steps described in: KB0106004

    This release responds to the top voted idea BFINV-I-193. Installation date is available now also for software discovered on Linux endpoints and reported as package data details.

  • Installation Path information in Package Data report (Linux)
    Package Data report includes Installation Path information – Idea BFINV-I-43. This data is collected and populated for Linux package entries. Additionally, for software components discovered with related package rules the Installation Path information is visible also in the Software Classification report.

  • Technical equivalence to IBM License Metric Tool 9.2.31

Actions needed:

  • To upgrade the BigFix Inventory server to application update 10.0.13.0, run the Upgrade to the latest version of BigFix Inventory fixlet from the BigFix console.

  • To upgrade the BigFix Inventory scanner, run the Install or Upgrade scanner fixlet from the BigFix console.

  • To apply new discovery capability, run the Software Catalog Update fixlet from the BigFix console and then wait for the next data import.

The release was republished to address problem with fresh installation on Windows Server 2022 where fixlet was not relevant new site number is 166

The BigFix Inventory Server installer has been replaced in site 168 (version in fixlet name 10.0.13.0.3) for upgrades from version 10.0.12 or lower for defect: https://support.hcltechsw.com/csm?id=kb_article&sysparm_article=KB0105998
