IBM is pleased to announce that BigFix Inventory application update 9.2.2 is available.
This application update continues to add incremental value to BigFix Inventory by enhancing its multi-tenancy and software catalog management capabilities.
Starting from this release, one BigFix Inventory server can be used to manage the entire worldwide client deployment and provide IBM capacity reports in compliance with the defined IBM subcapacity regions.
What is more, Managed Service Providers and customers can now use BigFix Inventory to provide reporting per client as well as aggregation and reporting for IBM (including IBM subcapacity) and non-IBM products per business unit or division type.
BigFix Inventory web user interface can also be used to add and manage extended software signatures, which removes the need of using Software Knowledge Base Toolkit.
The full list of new features available in BigFix Inventory 9.2.2 includes:
- License reports per IBM subcapacity region
- License reports per organizational business unit
- License reports in the service provider environment
- Creating extended signatures directly in BigFix Inventory without the necessity of installing Software Knowledge Base Toolkit
- REST API for retrieving raw scan results
- Consolidated endpoint information
- Disabling the calculation of extended software aggregates
- Configuring location of the scanner cache folder
- Identifying VM manager duplicates
- Defining time range of reports in relation to the current date
- Certification of new OS platforms
