Hello, I am upgrading my BigFix environment to 9.5.9. and I am curious as to what the Installation Generator is?
The installation generator is used to create installers for BigFix components for a given instance/license. It creates installers (which can also be used for upgrades) for the Server, Console, and Clients along with the masthead for your instance.
It is not required to upgrade the installation generator in order to upgrade BigFix itself. Additionally, you can upgrade the installation generator at any time.
