BigFix Installation Generator on Windows Server 2016

I just ran into a problem trying to install BigFix on Windows Server 2016 for a customer. The BigFix Installation Generator needs to be run in compatibility mode. Later on it spawns the BESAdmin tool, which crashes with error 0xc0000409 (I think it means a status stack buffer overrun). I’m not sure if the masthead got created correctly or not. The Installation Generator application remains running.

I tried to re-run the BigFix Installation Generator on a lower level OS, but then the BESAdmin tool generates a certificate mismatch error. This could be an issue with the previous online registration of the license authorization file.

I had to have the serial number regenerated by IBM. With a new License Authorization file, I was successful in running the Installation Generator on a 2012R2 server. Looks like a PMR is in order to make it compatible with Windows Server 2016.
