Hello,

Running BigFix version 10.0.3 on Windows 2016 SQL 2019. WebUI is on its own 2016 box, Insights is going going to be installed onto a separate box with SQL 2019. Question 1) what type of replication is required between the main BigFix application/database server and Insights? For example should we setup availability zones in SQL, should we use asynchronous replication, log shipping? There are a lot of ways to perform SQL replication, what is the optima solution?

Question 2) The insights site is subscribed to all computers, when we connect to the remote WebUI we are not seeing Insights listed as an option under the gears. Any idea why it would be missing?

In terms of replication, there isn’t a specific requirement really. The reason behind it is to reduce/eliminate potential overhead on the BigFix Root Server/Database.

One thing worth checking, if you’re not seeing Insights under the gear icon in WebUI Insights version in ‘Application Updates’. Note that it is currently v7.

Is Bigfix Insighit only available on Bigfix 10? I don’t see a Bigfix Insight documentation for Bigfix version 9.5.

That’s correct, Insights only works with 10 and higher.
