BigFix Evaluation Installation: can not download evaluation license

Hi,

we try to install BigFix evaluation v9.5 on Windows Server 2016 Standard. However, we can not download the evaluation license with the following problem:

We found the following link:http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21505939

  • the server can contact the Internet and http://www.bigfix.com.
  • the firewall on the server has been disabled.
  • our firewall doesn’t strip out unknown HTTP header.

Does anyone have any idea about this problem?

If there’s nothing preventing the bigfix site to be contacted as pointed out in the tech note,
pretty sure it is a temporary issue, especially with evaluation license …
I don’t think can have something specific with the specific OS or OS flavor …
in any if the failure continue to occur, could make sense advice the Bigfix support team …

We opened a case with IBM and got the feedback. Unfortunately, they have some issues with their license server.

Is that problem with IBM License Server solved ?
I’m facing this same issue.
In fact Environment mentioned by @Lin is same in my case !

For us, it was a temporary issue with IBM License server. And if you still can not install the evaluation v9.5, I recommend you contact IBM (or maybe HCL now) to make sure it was their issue.
