Bigfix console is taking ever to load the content

Hello Team
Good Day !
In our environment, the Bigfix console is launched but it is taking more than 2-3 hours to load the content like , fixlets . actions , computers and computer details …

May I have some inputs to fix the issue ?
CPU - usage at 4%
Memory ussage at 48%

Thanks
Vishnu

Not enough info. My BF cache runs about 1GB in size, but my console loads (even on first run) in about 5-6 min.

So:

What’s your circuit speed?
How many expired or stopped actions do you have?
Have you assessed overall system health in the management domain part of the console?
How is your environment built - vertical or horizontal stacking?
What kind ore resources in therms of CPU have you provisioned the app and DB servers?

Those are good places to look first.

Also what is the speed of the disk of the computer on which you are running the console? Is it shared such as VDI, VM, or vDesktop?

As a reference, we have a mid-sized environment with lots of custom sites and content. On a workstation class PC with GB network to app and DB, the console loads in 3-4 minutes. Over good wifi on a laptop or VDI on decent storage, 5-7 minutes. VDI on slower storage, laptop on poor wifi, or remote over a poor VPN can take hours to load.

Another big factor I forgot to mention is keeping your system clean. Purge action history earlier than your organizations retention period on a regular basis. Deactivate unnecessary analyses. Remove old custom content. Review your actionsite on a regular basis to make sure nobody created something huge.

Is your database server adequately sized and performing ok? Perhaps ask your DBA to review?

I’ve worked in environments of a little over 200,000 endpoints with around 5-10k open actions at any given time. Using the console on a virtual server, the console may take 7-12 minutes to load.

Just trying to help level-set expectations, there’s something wrong if it’s taking hours.
