Our customer has installed BigFix 8.1 on SQL Server with code page 1252 (English). However, some of the console workstations are using code page 905 (Traditional Chinese).
Thus the BigFix console gives us the error message “Data Error: The code page of this application (950) does not match the code page of the database (1252)” when it connects to our BigFix server.

suggests us to change the Windows “language for non-unicode programs” to “English” as a solution.
However, the customer is not able to set the “language for non-unicode programs” to “English” because of other applications running on the Windows system.
I have configured the “bes_EnterpriseServer” ODBC data source to “perform translation for character data” but it does not work.
I think there must be some large BigFix installations with consoles running on different language Windows system. Could you share with us your solution in this mixed console environment?
