BigFix Console Caching settings

(imported topic written by SystemAdmin)

Hello,

We are trying to disable caching (“Always load data from database”) for all users, however, since we are using citrix instances it complicates the transition a lot and it’s hard to keep track of which user does not have the option and which user does. Is there a specific location where this setting is kept (registry key, file, etc) that can be modified from the outside to make sure all users have the setting? Thank you.

Ben,

I did look up within the Preferences folder but I did not find any key that contains the caching information. All I can see there is ordering and viewing preferences for different analysis and global views. Thanks.

I believe the caching scheme is stored here:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BigFix\Enterprise Console\Preferences

“UseSQLiteCaching”=0

“WriteCheckpointOnExit”=0
