Fixed and improved implementation for the following checks:
- Ensure loopback traffic is configured (A)
- Ensure loopback traffic is configured (B)
- Ensure all users last password change date is in the past
- Ensure ntp is configured
- Ensure permissions on all logfiles are configured
- Ensure access to the su command is restricted
- Ensure permissions on /etc/group are configured
- Ensure permissions on /etc/group- are configured
- Ensure permissions on /etc/gshadow are configured
- Ensure permissions on /etc/gshadow- are configured
- Ensure permissions on /etc/passwd are configured
- Ensure permissions on /etc/passwd- are configured
- Ensure permissions on /etc/shadow are configured
- Ensure permissions on /etc/shadow- are configured
- Ensure mounting of squashfs filesystems is disabled
- Ensure all users’ home directories exist
- Ensure wireless interfaces are disabled
- Ensure all AppArmor Profiles are in enforce or complain mode
- Ensure firewall rules exist for all open ports (B)
- Ensure access to the su command is restricted
- Ensure mail transfer agent is configured for local-only mode
- Ensure lockout for failed password attempts is configured
- Ensure password creation requirements are configured
- Ensure /etc/hosts.allow is configured
- Ensure SSH Maxstartups is configured
- Ensure default deny firewall policy (A)
- Ensure mounting of FAT filesystems is limited
- Ensure only strong MAC algorithms are used
