Hi,

I subscribed to this site today but not seeing “Deploy and Run security checklist” task for macOS 14? Has something changed with naming of that fixlet (I see “Environment Setup Task” )

Thanks.

I noticed that also. I’m asking around and will post back here with what I find out.

MacOS 14 is a new checklist. We have slightly revamed the architecture of the checklist.

  1. Replaced “Deploy and Run” with “Environmental setup task”
  2. Changed the folder structures on the endpoint related to bigfix scanning.
  3. Removed the “Filesystem Scan” options during “Environmental Setup Task” as there are no rules specifically using it.

We are working on the documentation to reflect these changes.

I discovered that published site’s all fixlet had a relevance defect. These fixlets incorrectly claimed to be applicable to all Mac devices because their relevance was referring to the client site folder.

Could you kindly take urgent notice of this and fix it? I’ve opened a case as well. # CS0540577

Example:
((line((line number of it + 1)of lines whose(it contains "[STATUS]")ofit)ofit of file "cis-2.3.3.1.sh.results" of folder((pathname of parent folder of parent folder of folder(pathname of client folder of current site))& "/SCM/MAC_14/CIS/Results"))!= "PASS")| true
