I have several bigfix clients running v11.0.3 agents. These servers running Windows work fine but all those that are running Amazon Linux 2023 successfully register, report they are subscribed to the custom and external sites but do not report back any content and don’t show any sign of being able to evaluate content (even in BESSupport).
The windows and Linux clients are reporting to the same parent BigFix relays running v11.0.3 relay version. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the AL2023 bigfix agent with no change.
I’d be interested in other aspects of the Client log, but the snippet you’ve shared is also useful by itself. The site that it seems not to be able to synchronize/gather from its Relay is BES Support (based on the site version of 1496…that’s the only external site with that version today). Assuming the Relay has version 1496 of BES Support (given that Windows Clients are reporting properly through this same Relay? - though this is easily verified through the Relay’s Gather Status Report), I wonder if a proxy or similar is preventing the Amazon Linux Agents from gathering the site?
I do see that the linux client successfully evaluates master action site content so I don’t think that network communication to/from the relay would differ based on site, right?
Yes, the gather status page on that relay for BESSupport site does correctly show site 1496
Not sure if it matters but both the clients (and infra) are running in FIPS mode and enhanced security.
Strange (especially if the Gather Status page showed that the Relay was ready for the given site and version), but glad to hear the issue was resolved. Thanks for the follow-up!
