Bigfix client installed but not reporting to TEM server

Hello,

We have 8.2.1409 version of TEM instaled ad clients are of same version some are of lower version 1172

We have 19300 client but out of that 400 cleints are not reporting to TEM server…it last reporting date is too old. When I chekced the staus throu Client depoylent tool it shows…agent is installed but not running and some shows agent installed and running …but still not reporting in TEM console…those are greayd out clients…
Please guide what to do with such issue

Check the logs on the clients to see if there are connection errors.

You can also look at deploying the Task Scheduler task that deploys a task to the computer for starting the BigFix client or you can look at the client monitoring service that starts a stopped client.

check the firewall settings to the client side and make sure that 52311 port allowed. also do telnet from client to server.

Ok …Guyss. i will defn check all 3 steps today…will revert back…

What I generaly do , Take the list of IP address of those machines and stop and restrt the big fix client service, then try to reinstall the client through Tivoli Client Deployment tool…
Where it generaly shows the actuall status of exixting client installed…Still I reinstalled it…but that rerely soves the problem

In one of client log I saw that Client is Installed properly and at the end it say…Client service shut down…

Also in some when I try to restart service remotley …it has problem in mapping…
