BigFix Client incorrectly reporting its installed

We have an endpoint that had the agent previously installed. We removed the agent using the BES Remove utility but now when we attempt to install it again it asks us if we want to update the client rather than a fresh install.

It seems that when the app uninstalled something was left behind and the endpoint is seeing that and thinking the application is installed. If I run the BESRemove Utility now it says BigFix Client is in an ‘Unknown’ State

My assumption is that there is a registry key left behind but i have no idea where that key might be. Are there any other tools I can use, or any logs from BESRemove I can check to see where its breaking down?

Is your copy of BESRemove at the same of greater version as the client you were attempting to remove?

Removing BigFix using wmic and the reinstalled fixed it. Not sure what the BESRemove tool missed but wmi managed to get it.
