APARs (Authorized Program Analysis Reports): IJ03579: BIGFIX SERVER UPGRADE TO 9.5.8 VERSION MAY FAIL WITH INVALIDMONTH EXCEPTION. is it really a show-stopper to proceed with upgrade?

Raja,

the APAR is only hit under particular conditions and, at this time, there’s no automatic check to verify if the APAR issue would be hit during the upgrade phase.
However, it is mainly dependent on the custom content definition (Source Release Date field).

Thanks,
Emiliano

Thanks Emiliano for the response. We are currently running with 9.5.4 version and planning to upgrade with 9.5.8. Hence before upgrade can we update source release date on all the custom content with MM/DD/YYYY format to avoid upgrade failure? Pls advise

Raja,

yes, you can review your custom content and the Source Release Date format and change the value if needed.

Regards,
Emiliano

Thanks for the confirmation. i will follow the same.

HI

is this dato changes still needed to avoid the failure.
we are upgrading from 9.5.6.63 to 9.5.8

Hi Emiliano,

Can you please instruct me on how to change the date format for this?
I could not find a way anywhere.

Thanks!
