So we really want to roll out the client dashboard for the new power tracking site, however, as it works today, it looks like this will wipe out any existing dashboards and will consume the “dashboard” tab on the clientui. Has there been any thought given to moving this feature to its own tab and to not deleting the __UISupport folder contents upon deployment? We’d like to present the end users with a custom dashboard as well as the power tracking dash.

Great to hear that you guys are thinking about rolling out the new client-side dashboard.
BES 8.0 supports multiple client-side dashboards, so we intend to modify the Power one to leverage this new capability. The added support will likely be released in Q1 2011, but possibly sooner.

Thank you for using BigFix Power Management. I am happy to inform you that this feature enhancement is released early to accommodate your request. If you haven’t done so, you need to upgrade to BES 8.0 to take advantage of this feature.
If you have already deployed the Power Management Client Dashboard, simply apply Update Client Dashboard to Allow Multiple Client Dashboards (ID 76). This task will allow you to add other dashboards to __UISupport folder.
If you haven’t deployed the Dashboard yet, Enable Client Dashboard (ID 4) will not delete the __UISupport folder contents upon deployment.

Richard - this is great news. Actually, we are already testing the new dashboard. Glad to see if won’t replace any existing dashboards. Keep up the great work guys.
