BF Client Licensing in Google Cloud

Hi All,

The question of licensing BF Clients in GCP (Google Cloud) has come up as we’re migrating a large portion of our Windows environment to GCP. On prem we’re currently licensed via RVU (and managed thru BFI). Now that we’re in the process of migrating to GCP, I am not sure how to manage the licenses there (GCP). This BYOSL Doc was sent to me recently and indicates 70PVU’s per vCPU in this environment.

I am a little green still with the licensing aspect of things still…but am curious if anyone else is in the same situation and/or can explain how this works with our currently RVU licenses? Or do these clients have different part numbers that we need to purchase? :grimacing:

Thanks!

Doug

You will need identify those machines on the cloud, see:

Ah! Excellent. Thank you!

I am keeping track of our cloud systems via an Automatic Group based on subnet…I assume I should probably run this as a policy? As this environment will be growing daily/weekly.
